What is it?

A traineeship that counts for your degree

Erasmus+ supports university students who complete a traineeship abroad as part of their studies. Your home university selects you, pays your Erasmus+ grant and recognises the traineeship in your study programme.

OEMFCI is your bridge: we help you choose the destination, prepare your application and the Learning Agreement for Traineeships, and we introduce you to the host organisation. The host gives you meaningful tasks, a mentor and a team to learn with, and signs the Learning Agreement together with you and your university.

During your traineeship you work alongside the host team, volunteers and other trainees, join their trainings, labs and youth exchanges, and get to know European youth work from the inside.

Step by step

How it works

1

Check with your university

Ask your international office whether you can do an Erasmus+ traineeship, for how long, and what grant and deadlines apply.

2

Write to us

Send us your field of study, the destination you prefer (Austria or Croatia), the period and your Lebenslauf. We reply by email.

3

Get matched

We confirm availability with the host, agree your tasks and prepare the Learning Agreement for Traineeships with you and your university.

4

Go abroad

You organise your accommodation and travel with the help of your Erasmus+ grant, and start with an onboarding meeting at the host.

Good to know: no financial support from the hosts

As host organisations, EMOTiC and our Croatian partner do not offer any financial support. Trainees manage their resources and expenses on their own, with the Erasmus+ grant from their sending university. What the hosts provide is the traineeship itself: meaningful tasks, a mentor, a workplace and the other opportunities they offer. Plan your accommodation and living costs before you arrive.
